Client need to replace massive and manual Excel spreadsheet to report daily revenue by company and product line. A fully automated Power BI revenue reporting system was built to load daily worldwide invoices into a global database of customer invoices. The Daily Revenue Report was developed to report month to date, and year to date revenue performance compared to previous fiscal years, including comparisons to company established budgets and periodically updated financial forecasts.
The client asked us to create a Power BI model to segment all customers in the last moving 365 days by 6 tiered groups segmented into terciles based on sales and order totals. The model provides a listing of customers and contacts by tier to use under different & targeted marketing plans and promotional activities. Bubble charts are used to strategically understand the segmented relationships for all customers on a single, powerful visual.
Client is a major eCommerce company selling dance apparel both on-line and via call center and needed to specifically track daliy sales order information by 15, 30 and 60 minute time intervals by day of week, product, category, season, and date/time. This automated information reports in powerful Power BI visuals providing support for more efficient staffing of the call center. The Power BI reporting also provided superior intelligence to better utilze web site resources.
Client needed to have immediate access to advanced metrics on fufillment work by pickers and shippers on the warehouse team, and the ability to track warehouse employee performance over time. The Power BI model which was developed reported these metrics on a per product unit/size, a per product line and on an total customer order level. The reporting tracked how long orders remained open as well as how quickly returns were being processed as key metrics to fulfilling customer satisfaction.
Client sales team needed a fiscal year-end boost to their reported sales performance before the books were closed, and reached out for an analysis indicating the customers that had no orders or very small orders during the year-to-date. The Client asked to see historical sale figures by customer for comparison purposes including customer email & location allowing the sales team to quickly reach out for the larger sale.
Client operations team requested a report to provide process reported efficiencies for their product processing center. The abilty to report on the conversion of raw materials to final product comparing actual yields to target yields was created. Yields could be strategically monitored by date, product, product group, vendor and individual processor on duty at the time of operations. Yields are also converted against sales prices by weight to reflect cost to sales.
